Continuing in good faith with the original goal of the blog and the structure, it feels like time to reintroduce a PW topic that is more of a constant stream rather than something closer to a structured entry.
Again, I have mentioned this multiple times, but I feel that chance that the structure does ultimately change completely is possible. For now, I’ll solider on.
I recently have been following the unfolding of what could be colloquially referred to as “twitter drama”, but really it’s another saga in normal childhood schoolyard play. I go back and forth with being not only on Twitter, but participating in anyway. I would say recently it’s more interesting to discover someone that’s been successful who doesn’t participate. For example, Brad Jacobs of Jacobs Private Equity who recently took QXO public (his fourth endeavor). The discussion that I’ve been following refers to someone that I have found highly inspiring over the last six months or so, Andrew Wilkinson and his running of his companies. It made me once again question anyone with good marketing, but at the same time I saw an incredible position that Andrew is in a better position to close deals due to said marketing than most in the space. A space full of people who consist of majority “suits”.
