Nic Mauro - Entrepreneur and Investor
Some of my current "main" interests include why modern MMOs fail and old ones seem LINDY, networks, history (biographies, "untold" stories, if you have good ones contact me), and better discovery tools (like this cool music discovery platform I've been playing with NTS Radio, and why I created Virlo). I'm always open to thoughtful recommendations, whether books, ideas, or topics worth exploring.
I've worked at a large traditional financial firm, Neuberger Berman; at a technology startup run by Gary Vaynerchuk; and, for the last four years, I've been an entrepreneur and investor. I went to high school at Lawrence Academy, studied at Trinity College (B.A.), and earned an M.S. in Finance from Georgetown University.
Investing in traditional and consistent cash-flow opportunities, the "fortress".
Riskier, more non-traditional bets. The latest project being Virlo, a platform for short-form trend intelligence and creator tooling.
Occasionally backing teams and projects that are interesting or may have asymmetric upside. Example, Monumental Labs.
